Every morning at 9 am a bakery-van with fresh bread and pastry is parked in front of the camp.
Three times a week small, freshly caught fish, popular whitebait is sold at the camp.
About 800m to the right of the camp in the village of Morinj there are two supermarkets, three café- restaurants, a post office and a tourist information bureau. Close by is also a restaurant with extremely reasonable prices for daily menus.
Approximately 1 kilometer to the camp’s left we have two more great restaurants with fresh sea food specialties. Working hours for the supermarkets are from 6 am to 10 pm, except Sundays. Cafes and restaurants work regularly every day.
The nearest petrol station is in the town of Risan, which is 6 km to the camp’s right. In Risan we have got a hospital, small airport, bank machines, market as well as a lot of cafes and restaurants. On the camp’s left, also about 6 km away is a small town, Bijela with its health center and well- equipped supermarkets and other tourist facilities.

Meet the most important sights of Montenegro

To many people, unforgettable summer holiday and beaches of Montenegro are the first associations of this Balkan country. A lot of people visit the historic city of Perast, bowed to the relics of Saint Basil (Vasilije) of Ostrog or just wander around the old city of Kotor while touring in Montenegro. However, Montenegro has a lot more to offer.

1. Ostrog Monastery

One of the most popular pilgrimage places in the world for Orthodox Christians is Ostrog Monastery in Montenegro. It is considered to be one of the most significant monasteries in the Balkans as well as the most visited Orthodox temple in the whole of Europe. Situated in a large rock, called Ostrog Greda (Beam) at 900 meters altitude in Danilovgrad Municipality. Ostrog Monastery is often described as a masterpiece of humans and nature. It was founded in 17th century in honor of Saint Basil of Ostrog who was buried inside and for whom it is believed to have shown magical powers for many pilgrims who came to visit Ostrog Monastery.

2. National Park Lovcen

National Park Lovcen – it was proclaimed to be the national park in 1952. Situated in the south-west of Montenegro, among Skadar Lake Basin, Bay of Kotor (Boka kotorska bay) and Budva Riviera. The connection of continental and Mediterranean climate caused a unique flora and fauna there with over 1300 plants, 200 birds and various butterflies. Some remains of the old architecture make it recognizable, such as Lovcen Serpentines. The largest monument in Lovcen NP is Mausoleum of Njegos, located on lake top (Jezerski vrh) on the place which had been chosen by the great poet and philosopher himself. There are as many as 461 steps leading up to this monument, but don’t let that discourage you as the path along the stairs is well lit, aired with resting points in order to facilitate overcoming the height.

3. Tara river Canyon

The deepest canyon in Europe, second deepest in the world, protected by UNESCO and the most famous one you can discover while in Montenegro. With its maximum depth of 1300 meters, the canyon of river Tara offers rafting adventures, which you simply can’t miss out on.

4. National park Durmitor

National park Durmitor was set up in 1952. It is located in north-west of Montenegro and covers a large area of mount Durmitor chains with canyons of rivers Tara, Draga and Susica.
From there impressive mountain tops spread, and 48 out of them are over 2000m high, and among them Bobot’s hip (Bobotov kuk) is the highest with 2.525m. Eighteen glacier lakes, named mountain eyes (Gorske oci)with altitude of over 1500m provide a special charm to the beauty of Durmitor mountain chain. The largest and most attractive is the Black lake (crno jezero). If you have a wish to be surrounded by breathtaking beauty, you certainly shouldn’t miss out on Durmitor National Park, one of the most beautiful preserved ones in Europe. It is protected by UNESCO as World Heritage and it is divided by the river Tara, which makes it the home of its canyon- the second deepest one in the world.

5. Biogradska gora National Park (Biograd mountain)

…Created in 1952. It is located in north-east part of Montenegro, between the rivers of Lima and Tata and in the central part of Bjelasica mountain chain. The prettiest part of this National park is Biograd Lake (Biogradsko jezero). The lake is situated at 1094m altitude and is surrounded by a real rainforest, one of the three left in Europe. This National Part also provides other facilities to be used by visitors: bungalows for accommodation, national food restaurant, souvenir shop, educational track around the lake…

6. Skadar Lake

Picturesque and unique, Skadar Lake is situated in the valley of Zeta and Skadar and it is linked with the Adriatic Sea through the river Bojana. With its covered area, which ranges from 370-530m2 depending on the fluctuation of the water masses, it represents the largest lake on the Balkans. Two thirds of the lake belong to Montenegro and one third to Republic of Albania. The part of the lake in Montenegro with its coast of 40000 ha was proclaimed to be National Part in 1983. The lake is also the largest bird reserve in Europe (over 270 species). It is the habitat of pelicans, seagulls, herons… Also its rich wildlife consists of fish, there are plenty there. Skadar Lake has been enlisted as a swamp area of international importance since 1996.

7. Kotor

It is a medieval old city, known as Venice of Montenegro. Surrounded by impressive walls, interwoven with cobbled streets, where tourist are happy to lose their way, it is a favorite port for large cruisers and tourists from all over the world. Kotor is on the list of World Cultural heritage sites.

8. Perast

It is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns on the coast of Montenegro. It is also one of the must see destinations on tours passing through Boka Kotorska bay (Bay of Kotor). If you are looking for a unique opportunity to visit Perast, along with other attractions offered by this secretive Bay, you can book a tour on a powerboat and sail into unforgettable sea adventures. From Perast, there is a great view on wonderful islets, Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od skrpjela) and Saint George (Sveti Djordje). Due to its beauty and cultural and historic significance in 1979 Perast joined UNESCO list of World Cultural Historic Sites.

9. Ada Bojana

In a ‘hug’ between the river Bojana and Adriatic Sea, 15km from Ulcinj situated is a paradise island, world -wide known for its nudist camp and unspoiled nature. The island is triangular, two sides are splashed by the river Bojana and the third side is on the Adriatic Sea. Ada Bojana is a part of a sandy beach 3km long, where you can find the offer of traditional restaurants with seafood which you can add to your list of wishes.

10. Cetinje

It is considered to be one of the most beautiful Situated under the mountain Lovcen is the old capital city of Montenegro. Cetinje is entitled to its title City-museum. In it found are the three most important religious sights of Montenegro- the hand of holy John the Baptist, part of the Holy Christ of our Lord and icon of Holy May Filermose. You will learn about the history of Montenegro best if you visit the Mausoleum of Njegos. It is located in Biljarda (Billiard), once upon a time Njegos’s residency. The most important room there is Senator Hall (Billiard pool room), after which the palace was named. In this room the most relevant state decisions used to be made. Great attention by visitors is taken by a great library, where you can see the original manuscript of his Mountain Wreath poem (Gorski vijenac).

11. Solila bird reserve

Protected nature reserve Solila near Tivat is a jewel of unspoiled swamp area. Bird lovers need to pay special attention to magnificent flamingos, lapwings and grey herons. This natural oasis is a habitat of more than 110 bird species, botanic wonders and wild animals.

12. Porto Novi

This impressive town is just 10km away from Tivat airport, 49 km from Dubrovnik airport and 90km from Podgorica airport. With its 7km of coast, two marinas, golf course… In short, it is a place you simply must visit.

15. Islets: Our lady of the rocks and St George

In the very heart of Bay of Kotor, in front of the baroque city of Perast situated is Our Lady of the Rocks, it is an oath shrine of people of Perast, especially the sailors. Tourist call it Venice of Bay of Kotor and residents of the bay are proud of one of the smallest islets with a rich history. The islet was created in about 15th century. Going away on their long, often dangerous travels sailors used to give oaths to lady of the Rocks to thank her, one way or another if they return safe and sound from sailing across many seas in the world. In the church found is the largest collection of oath tablets, of which there are about 2000. The oldest tablet dates back to 1624.
